Hey folks! Meet me

 Hello everyone!

     My name is Sofia, but you can also call me Sof. I am here to give you my film blog. Why am I making this blog? Mostly because my dear professor, Amy Ongiri, is forcing me to, but also it will allow me to talk about stuff that my friends and family are tired of listening to.  Come with me on this journey of me barely understanding film, and I will attempt to make this as painless and interesting as possible.

    I have to tell you about myself, so I'll start with the basics. I'm 21, a senior, a Film major, and I'm from LaPorte, Indiana. Indiana is an incredibly boring place, and with Covid, it's even worse. The most interesting thing to do is scream in a cornfield. It kinda sucks, but that is why I am back in Appleton, WI. It is marginally better than my home town, but at least I am close to my friends and away from my family (I love them, but I can only take so much).

    During this period of confusion and strange coping mechanisms, film and television have been a stable comfort that makes us feel a little more normal. As I begin my senior year of college, I am going to have to get my shit together, but I will always find time to enjoy a movie or two to feel a little more normal. I encourage everyone to do the same, and find a some time to get away from our insane reality.
